Looks like the Grande Punto 1.4 8v would proably fit in a panda .... anyone know if the crank rods and pistons could be fitted to a 1.2 (block height / over bore etc) - or any info as to if the block would fit the 1.2 gearbox...
It would be an interesting mod... I am pretty damn sure the stock 1.2 EFI would be absolutely fine and just compensate for the extra fueling.... it would learn and store. that makes the prospect of a conversion a lot easier.. need to check location and compatibility of efi sensors etc.. - this is purely hypothetical at this stage.. would make a nice bit of torque increase for little fuel cost..

What is the max overbore on a 1.2 ? if the crank would fit I am sure rods / pistons can be sourced if needed - possibly the whole lump - just needs all mounting holes for panda bits.... head looks the same in ePer... sump is the same.. possibly just block crank, rods and pistons mainly.. ie, short engine..
would love to get more info...

Also, would a 1.2 box fit on a 1.4 16V (100hp) jsut out of interest as the 16V block etc is possibly the same base as the 8V ? - that would give a good picture...
