I'm going to send off my edited v5c so I can have three seat belts in the back of my panda but I'm having trouble undoing the bolts for the seatbelts.

All the other bolts came out easy enough just the ones that keep the seat belts in place are very difficult to undo, is it just me or do I have to do something under the car so these can easily come out?

Might be rusted under the car.

Have you got an entire replacement rear bench seat, 3rd 3 point belt and replacement headliner then from a donor Panda

Don't forget to notify your insurance company also, and that this is a modification also, might increase your premiums ;)

When I did my insurance I said it was 5 seats when its actually 4 so that should be okay and I will inform them to make sure.

I only have a lap belt and I will mention this on my v5c. it's almost impossible to contact the dvla to ask them about this but I know other people who have done it and the dvla didnt complain and they didnt fail any mot test

You need to correct it back to 4 until done then, you'll also need to make them fully aware that this is a modification, and not OEM spec, especially if its a lap belt - which can be lethal!

Lap belts are dangerous. I take it that you don't like the third person who you're going to have in the back that much?

You do realise that deliberately providing false details on your car insurance is a criminal offence? It's irrelevant whether or not you intend to alter the car in the future to fit the false details. It's not only fraud, but the policy will be void from the date the fraud occurred (aka the policy start date, usually). That means you could end up getting done for driving with no insurance too; that's 6 points on your licence.

If you bin your car, I'd be shocked if your insurance company pay out. You'll really be in trouble if you crash it into someone else.

We smurfs are much better at singing than dancing! :nerner:
I have this rather disturbing vision of stopping at traffic lights only to see a 'custard' Panda alongside with a wee smurf singing 'Step we Gaily' into a hairbrush at full blast, head nodding and fingers tapping on wheel..... :bang:
Freud would have field day....

I need to lay down for a wee while.. "Nurse ?? .. me steady pills....."

:p

When insuring my car the company only allowed me to enter 5 seat for my car, there was 4 seat opinion and I did ask the company about this and they seemed fine about it

That is simply so they rip you off on passenger liability, you are paying the premium for 5 max instead of 4.
You would still be at blame if you had an accident.

Here`s a (not very good) picture of the seat belt for the 5th person in my Panda. You have the lap belt on the seats but in the corner, behind the rhs rear passenger headrest, is a "bulge" on the roof. This hides the mechanism and the the belt, which comes down from the roof to another fastener on the seat. It supports much like the belts in the front seats.

Hope I`ve explained it well enough, if you need me too, I can take a picture with the belt pulled out from the container in which it stays 95% of the time lol.

Nice work, was the roof fixing bracket already there?. Which seatbelt did you use?.
If its a simple enough job the 100 might be back in the running
