Hi folks,

I don't think I can get away with not having a towbar for much longer so I'm going to have to fit one.

Do I really need to order the £135 dedicated electrical box for it, or will the Panda's electrics be happy with me just adding the towbar electrics to the existing rear light wiring Suzuki Jimny style?

Does the Panda have any towing program type stuff built into its ECU?

Thanks for the replies. Is there an easy place to access the loom to connect the relay?

Mine's on the left, but that's where my rearfoglight is. And there's a little mor space on that side. I had to connect three wires on the right side (signal, tail and reverse) that needed longer cables. Bought 2 metres each of the right colours.
Easy peasy.

Edit: The relay has a beepsignal for both indicators built in.

OK, one more question :D

Where is the best place to take +12V from? Obviously it will have to be live all the time that the ignition is live otherwise the indicators won't work...

Battery or internal fuse box feed. It has to be a constant live and cannot be ignition switched! Otherwise no parking lights or hazard warnings will work when parked.

Hmm. If I'm going to be running a cable right through the car anyway, maybe I'll take the opportunity to fit a socket in the back for my amber beacon (y)
