After 100k in 5 years my 100HP has burnt an exhaust valve. It is probably because it is running on LPG but my LPG man says not and they are a bit prone to it. Anyway I have it stripped and am just about to put it back together with a new set of exhaust valves and new head bolts - does anyone know what the torque setting is?
Cheers

They're not prone to it, and I doubt its due to LPG, we've a Stilo with the same 1.4 16v engine running on LPG, has done 75k on LPG to date without issue.

Might just be an unfortunate case of being on of those things. Did you have a flashlube system fitted?

Have there been any other modifications?

Thanks for that - now sorted - a new set of exhaust valves later and we are back to where we were. I haven't used an LPG lubrication system - not sure if that is significant or not. Thanks to Punto Sporting forum for setting cam timing. Looking forward to the 100K now!

Exactly 100,000. So far one set of rear wheel bearings, one set of rear shocks, one set of front pads and now 8 exhaust valves - nothing else at all. Aren't they hydraulic valves - couldn't see any shims?
