Help 2009 Panda 1.2 Dynamic Eco Spec Problem?

Hi all

I hope someone can help with a possible spec problem ? or answer to my 2 questions ...

Today I am in the process of purchasing a 2009 Panda 1.2 Dynamic Eco
Deposit paid.

I noticed the vehicle only had 1 standard key & was advised that the vehicle had central locking, but not REMOTE central locking as this had not been specified when new...could this be correct ?
After checking another 65 adverts or so on Autotrader every car of this version seems to have Remote central locking !, am I going to be unlucky ?

Second question is the engine cambelt or chain driven ?

Car should have 2 keys, either one remote and one none remote, or two identical none remote keys.

Being a Dynamic I believe it should have remote locking though, all pre 'Eco' Dynamics did.

And the engine is belt driven, not chain

If its not got two keys, the original owner still has one and can take your car away with it!
Demand that the seller supplies another key and gets them both recoded so that the original, if ever found will not start the car, although it will still turn the locks.

One key - no sale!

My 2010 Dynamic Eco has remote locking with 1 remote & 1 non-remote key.

The 60hp 1.2 engine has a cambelt but is safe in so far as if it breaks in service it won't permanently damage anything - just replace it and you're good to go.

If the dealer hasn't got the remote key, demand at least £300 off the price - it will cost you very nearly that to replace it.

I confirmed the remote central locking info & key costs today & contacted the seller,

Hello again !
Well that took a while to sort out !
As car had to be registered & wait for V5 to arrive first before key could be ordered etc,
Busy time of year with the new registrations coming out !.

Anyway all sorted - The car sales dealer paid for the main dealer to replace key & code it in to the tune of £215

I also negotiated a further £350 discount as the car was also coming up for a service & when I looked it over had 2 worn tyres & 2 budget that did not match each other plus the front pads were getting low.

She has now had a full service, new front pads , 4x new Yokohama BluEarth AE-01 Tyres
& drives great !, happy with the purchase.
