Hi all

We have had our panda 4x4 for a year now and live in the alps with it. Amazing car in the snow.

However we have recently had a problem with it. It seems to drop into limp home mode quite often, then the engine light comes up. The engine light is constantly on now. Some times if I turn the engine off and on it will come back to life. Other times it wont come out of limp mode and had to tow it home with another vehicle.

Any ideas or have I got to go to an extremely expensive French garage?

It will need the fault codes read to point you in the right direction. Any garage should be able to read the codes, but not all can clear it after repair. See threads on here about FiatECUscan software, the free version will read the codes. You could do this yourself, then fix it or ask again on here.

My guess would be oxygen sensor. Probably the lower one as this is more likely to be attacked by the snowdrifts you might be driving through. First check would be connections and wiring for damage.
