Just done a 2042 mile round trip to Spain in my 59 plate Panda. Got off the Santander ferry last night, drove 20 miles home - whole trip absolutely without a problem. The wife went to start it this morning and the dials and warning lights are going crazy they only stop when key turned to start then they die and there's nothing except clicking. No sign of the starter turning over. Took the battery off and gave it a quick charge - nothing. Any advice gratefully received.

Seems to me that the battery has failed, do you have a voltmeter?

Battery sounds shot. Have you tried a jump start or another battery

Just managed to jump start it, ran for a couple minutes before dying again and won't restart so looks like you were right! I'll get a new battery in the morning - what sort of money are they? Thanks guys. Neil

Get a decent one, such as a Bosch Silver, about £60 delivered but will outlast its 5 year guarantee and has better power output than most
