Hi All

i need new discs and pads all round for the panda come April time for MOT and service

i am looking at getting the Brembo Vented ones with Brembo pads all round

i wanted the brembo max discs all round...had them on previous cars and they work so well from cold and better from hot when paired with brembo pads....low dust aswell

the issue is - i can only find brembo max discs for the rear...if anything i would want them on the front first, if not a full matching set

i never liked EBC, although proven to be really ace with the correct "Stuff" pads for my power / driving style...always been a brembo boy!

has anyone got the brembo max/vented fitted all round?

i thought as much

wouldn't it make sense to make them for the front though? surely the front brakes take more strain when braking?!

i feel its worth getting a full set of matching discs and pads all round

The rear discs on the 100hp are the fronts on other models, hence why they made a max version of them and the fronts.

lmao! apart from a lighter wallet...

they are vented and grooved with a slightly darker colour to them. i havent compared them to the normal vented brembos you get unfortunately

Standard front 100HP discs are vented, and with decent pads and regularly changed fluid I've never had a problem, even on track. The panda is heading to brands on Friday, so will report any braking issues..

i didn't know they were vented as standard on the front...cool!

if i could get away with a full set of pads i would...i think the discs that came on the car were cheap ones that the guys put on to sell as they are getting a bit pitted now

I have the stock discs all-round, but have fitted EBC Green Stuff pads upfront. I left the rear pads stock too.

The car is so light that I actually don't think you need drilled or slotted discs at the front. I regularly trackday my car and it pulls up from 100mph to 30mph on the circuit easily and consistently. Sure, the fade increases as the session wears on, but honestly not to the point where you are sh*tting yourself down the back straight.

My suggestion would be to upgrade your front pads first (the EBCs gave me much better feel than the stockers, but you must bed them in properly), maybe bung some fresh brake fluid into the system, and then take it from there.

Out of interest have you tried Yellowstuff? I haven't used them on the Panda, but I've found them better in every respect to the Green on the Elise. Not bad at all for a cheap 'performance' pad.

I use mtec drilled an grooved discs with ebc greenstuff pads. much better feel over standard and feel even better when up to temperature. as well as barely any brake dust!

worth a look at mtec if you haven't already, they do coated discs as well to stop rust forming on the parts of the disc where pads don't contact. :)
