Hi, I'm looking at an OMP strut brace for my 1.1 active eco. How good is the product or is there a better strut brace by someone else? I'm asking as I spent alot on an armster and it broke though normal use and don't want to get this if it will brake for no reason like the arm rest.

Thanks
Cam

If u got a proper armster product (not some cheap Chinese fake) u can get replacement as they give u good warranty btw. I got mine for £86 large and its high quality product, but u do have to read the manual where its says its can only handle stress/weight up to 12kg so if u lean half of ur weight on it then of course its gonna break.

As for braces, I have not seen any other but OMP one and its only a visual upgrade for panda not a performance as pandas front end is very stiff across wheel arches.

Just so you know I'm 19 and I think a strut brace looks cool even on a 1.1!!

A strut brace...in a panda...
You'd be better off saving your money to spend on your next car. I bet the people who sold you that strut brace were laughing their collective arse off when you walked out the door with that thing.
No really, it's a 55hp 1.1. It doesn't need the strut brace and as such it's just dead weight on a car that is already a tad underpowered.

Im sure u can find something more usefull and something that u can actually enjoy as an upgrade for ur panda instead of £50 quid brace that no1 will see. U can get a nice K&N induction filter for that but make sure ur insurance approve of that 1st :D. Coz even "go faster" stickers will add to ur insurance cost nowadays.

Thanks for all your help ...Sarcasm implied. I don't know why I bother coming to this forum it's not much help, sorry I mean no help.

Thanks for nothing

wow, just wow.... U asked for help!

Hows few ppl saying that
- brace is a extra weight for 1.1 panda hence will lower its performance
- its only a visual upgrade as it doesnt improve stiffness at all on a panda
^ and a useless visual upgrade as no one apart from you will see it.
no help at all?

Im getting a feeling u werent paying attention to the comments. :(

Invest that money into another more useful upgrade! But then again u never specified which one u were after, visual or performance as the brace (category) falls in between.

Sorry people on here arn't getting you.
I'm 49 years old and have been doing stuff with cars for years, the thing is with car modding it's all about what you want to do and what make you feel good about what you drive.
My advice is stuff everybody else and do what you want.
I to fitted a strut brace to a 1.1 mk1 escort backj in the day,and thought it was the dogs nuts
luigi.

Why didn't you just tell yourself what you wanted to hear rather than expecting everyone else to tell you what you wanted to hear.

I can see where he chaps coming from he did just ask whats the best strut to buy he didnt really ask if it was a good idea to fit one on the other had people are only trying to look out for you by saying its not much help fitting it but he has made it clear he wants one and if he wants to in our opinion waste his cash fine its not really our place to tell him how to spend his money as we think its better spent EACH TO THER OWN.
