Does anyone know where i can get a key fuel tank cap for my 2005 diesel panda?or some method to lock it?
Thank you.

what locking system does the panda have, does the flap lock when you lock the car?

2004 Model Year Pandas have locking filler cap so a dealer should be able to sell you one fairly easily

I've just bought a Panda & mine didn't have a locking fuel cap so did 2004 models have them?

its about the only car out there that doesn't have one. someone isnt going to nick your petrol!

very odd, i must say when i first picked up the mrs car, was a little miffed that the fuel flap didnt have a lock, seemed such a simple thing to do, but then seeing that the actual cap underneath had a lock made it better, i would imagine though that a spare locking cap from fiat would be hideously expensive

especially one that uses your own key. Halfords do locking caps with keys i think

Weird. I have a July 2004 Dynamic. It doesn't have a locking fuel cap or a lock on the flap that works with the central locking.

Have I been diddled?

how odd....i found no mention of any of this in the original brochures (late 2003/early 2004) i have......then again the foggys on the eleganza are optional in one brochure and standard in another, looks like the "multi version" thing is creeping in already!

Both our Panda and Idea have no petrol cap locks.

The two previous Pandas both had locks.

The Halford parts man gave me the famous "no idea" look when he checked on his computer.

Down to Fiat on Tuesday to order two hideously expensive locking fuel caps. :bang:

i don't get it. why would you spend a fortune on a locking one on the offchance that someone's gonna nick your cheap non-locking item?

What is the price Fiat are charging for the fuel caps?

£11 each but totally the wrong ones - why am I not surprised ??

Wifey going back to show them the old "square peg round hole" arguement tomorrow - clearly they will not believe her unless she shows them ... :bang:

Wifey been back to return the wrong ones - correct caps either £20 or £40 -will know when they are in next week. Still cheaper than major repairs if some twerp plays with your petrol though ...

Metro Wolf,
When you finally get the correct cap - I would be very grateful if you could post the part number. With the cost of petrol in the UK rapidly approaching €1.50 a litre, I reckon a few of us will need one!

I suppose that it is too much to hope that the existing panda keys work the locking cap?
