Is it possible to fit an aircon unit to a panda that does not have one?

Yes I do understand that there would probably be a ton of work to do on it if this can be done. Its just the hot days are murder at the moment.

Wait a month, and it won't be a problem! It's only something else to go wrong and be maintained!

By that I mean in a month's time, the weather will be colder and you won't need air conditioning. Apologies if the post was too cryptic!

Most Easterly Pandas, I replied to your message but have not heard back from you. Please get back to me.

Exactly, that why I wheel the old volvo out in the winter...air-con & heated seats(y)

What's the aircon for in the winter? Clearing the screen, perhaps but anything else? Am I missing something? Genuinely confused! :)

uses a bit more than neglible fuel but it's all relevant to engine size, stick the aircon on on small engined car and it feels like brakes are dragging:(

I've had a Panda 100HP for nearly four years and the only time the climate control's been off is when I was finding out how much it hurt the fuel consumption - answer is negligible - and effect on performance is not noticeable either. The climate control switches itself in and out, unless it's busy on a really hot day, which must make it less thirsty, as opposed to simpler air con, which is on a switch.

Drive a ford ka with aircon at a steady 60 then switch aircon on....you can easily feel an immediate drop in power then switch it back off again, I noticed this as well in a panda (not 100hp).Some say 10% of power (unlikely this much) but I reckon about 3-4%.
