Wondering about swapping the climate control from a Panda 4x4 which has it to one which hasn't. Anyone know if this would be possible/sensible even?

I don't believe it would be possible...

I think (although I may be wrong) that the engine bay layout is different on the models with Air con, and thus it would be difficult fit the A/C compressor in.

Never know though

Impossible..no (with unlimited time & money-unless you do it yourself) but to be fair it involves so much work that you'd be better off buying a car that has AC...

Is the original question not about fitting air con but about adding the climate control items to a car that already has air con - ie difference between climate control and simple air con? Still can't see how it would be worth it even if feasible. By the way, my 100HP's done 35,000 miles in three and a half years, including several trips to Italy with temperatures in 90s (F) or above at times - the climate control is on all the time and works quite satisfactorily, with very effective demisting - set to 19.5 (C) when the sun's shining and 20.5 when it's not.
