I have had unusual cars in the past and on passing another car that is the same I have always waved and they always wave back.....however I now own a Fiat Panda 4X4 and since owning it I have passed 4 other panda 4x4's on the road. I have waved to each and not one of them has waved back! Are panda 4x4 owners just not very friendly or am I being silly and people dont do that kind of thing anymore?

If it's anything like the 4x4 owners in my parts - not just Panda drivers - then they will wave, but don't seem to be able to use more than two fingers. Maybe it's in case they lose grip of the steering wheel while they take a lurch towards me as they attempt to get me to mount the kerb?

It's a Panda 4x4. If you want to wave at other 4x4 drivers get a Landy

Although the Classic Panda folk tend to be more accomodating to the 'owners wave'

Doblo owners wave to each another...well not exactly wave but hold he hand up doing the 'live long and prosper' sign that spock does in star trek

I try to wave whenever I see another Panda 4x4 or cross, most wave back, but not all. Depends on whether they are an enthusiast or just look on it as another car I suppose

Don't give up euroben. We parked next to another nearly new blue 4x4 in Tescos Newtonhill last Dec. The owner was absolutely delighted to see another car same colour and chat to another owner, so it shows you its always worth a try, at least you might put a smile on someone's face...

I wave at all cars with 4 wheels, often get a finger back

Well I will continue to wave to other panda 4x4 owners; who knows maybe I will get someone wave back eventually!

We are indeed a friendly bunch - we're just quite rare, that's all...!

I've done the same to many 4X4 Panda drivers, but unluckily, most of them are women and DO NOT wave back under any circumstances.
I 've come to the conclusion that maybe in Greece, most of the 4X4 owners are female, so do not expect a wave back or any head light flash, EVER.
Misapprehended car the Panda 4x4 in Greece

I see loads of different types of Panda's during the day. From regular ones to 4x4's and the occasional 100HP and Cross. I never bother waving and they never wave at me. I dont feel any affinity towards somebody just because they have the same car as me. Im not unfriendly at all its just that I dont see the point.
