All,

My 2007 plate has 30,000 miles on the clock and is still on the origional front pads and discs. I replaced the rear pads last year as i had a spare set around and whilist the brakes were off thought i may as well. the disc was in good condition.

I made a note to check the fronts this weekend, the pads are now getting to a point where they need replacing, the disc looks in good condition but it has developed a small lip indicating wear on the disc itself. Firstly i want to check the max and min disc thicknesses before i set about replacing both components - does anyon eknow ?

Apprecaite many will say replace both at the same time, total cost for both pads and discs is £70.00 but before i do i want to check wear as it may be superficial.

Thanks in advance for any assistance.

Cheers

The front discs and pads are an easy replacement, provided the combined wheel locating pins and disk retaining bolts haven't seized. There's a few other posts about this around the forum. Surprised you needed to replace rear discs. I didn't need to do this until at least double your mileage.
