Hi

I think my 55 plate Panda is developing the power steering fault! The light came on on the dash yesterday but after restating the car it went off. Today I can feel a click through the steering wheel when under load.

I want to check before removing the unit to send for a reurb by BBA that this is the problem. I will have access to a code reader and wondered if anyone knew the error codes related to the power steering issues.

Or if anyone knows of a error code list for the panda online that would be great.

Hi, what do you mean by check the battery?

The car is a diesel multijet and it starts first time even with the very cold weather we have had recently so I think the battery is ok. If it was the battery would I get the clicking knock feeling when I turn the wheel?

Any advice would be appreciated as I don;t want to spend money for nothing.

Yes it seems to have stopped. Basically go to the top of the page and use the search feature and look for panda power steering

When my wife's Panda steering failed recently it showed C1002 torque sensor fault. I do believe this is the one you don't want to see, as it points towards immanent failure of the torque sensor which is set into the column. This is the component that BBA and others usually replace.

There may be other error codes of course. This is the only one I saw and was rectified by fitting an exchange column.

It's also caused by a poor battery
