Hi there anyone got any ideas if Fiat Part no. 55222107 is a valid number? I have checked in ePER but no joy. I need to replace my one on a 2006 Panda 4x4. Keep finding 2WD Panda breaking but not sure if they fit a 4x4. Any ideas.

You don't say what the issue is.

A 2WD Panda does not have a propshaft, but as you don't define what the part is you are after it's difficult to know, though anything to do with a propshaft will mean that a 2WD Panda is no use to you at all.

Hi there, sorry to be a bit vague, let me add more info. About 3 months ago I noticed a clunking sound when changing hear and also as I accelorated. I took it to the local delaer and he raised my 4x4 up with the wheels suspended ran the car and as you changed gear and accelorated you can here cluncking he said it is the joint in the propshaft. The Panda does take a bit of a battering here in Greece where I am working as the roads on the Island I am on are rubbish :(

In that case.....you'd think the garages there would have plenty of experience in reconditioning and/or changing the joints in propshafts - easy peasy with a bench vice and socket set if you've the parts. Give them a call and ask if they do it and if not, ask elsewhere.

Thanks for the links, I have had a good look but nothing jumps out that helps my 2005/6 Panda 4x4. I spoke to another garage here on the Island and same crap from them also "Needs total replacement" I reckon they have no idea how to sort it so easier just to change the lot. Any other ideas guys? Anyone know a good breakers in the UK I can ring? Help

I too have just started to experience violent vibrations this morning at certain speeds (15-25mph).

Popped the car (a 2006 4x4 Panda, 55000 miles, used offroad 'occasionally' but sympathetically) into the garage.

Just been returned - he has done a small lubrication job but says it will need doing some point this year. A two day job to remove, refurbish and balance the main propshaft (from the gearbox to the rear differential).

Doesn't sound cheap... :(

So a bit of a warning / heads-up for other 4x4 owners
