Re: Identification of EURO5 113 g/km 1.2 Engine

It occurs to me that you haven't had an answer to your original question. Download the Panda Handbook 10/09 from the Downloads section of this forum and look at page 193 of the PDF file - this has all the codes, which you'll find on a plate under the carpet on the nearside of the boot, clearly identifying what version it is.
Thanks robertnw46 thanked for this post

Hi FullMetalPanda,

Do you know the exact date from when the Euro 4 engine could not be legally registered? Has that date passed - or can EURO 4 engines still be registered before 31st March 2011? My dealership was eager for the car to be registered before 31st March.

Many thanks,

Robert

AFAIK Euro 4 petrol cars cannot be registered after 1st January 2011 - so the eagerness of your dealership is probably down to needing to meet quarterly sales targets.

Study this link: http://europa.eu/legislation_summari.../l28186_en.htm

and note particularly the statement "the Euro 5 standard came into force on 1 September 2009 for the approval of vehicles, and shall apply from 1 January 2011 for the registration and sale of new types of cars"

The sticker thing is nothing to worry about- Fiat seem to always mix up the lower-spec model stickers (same issue affects the Grande 1.2/1.4 Active and Dynamic models).

Yes, exactly - though I did do a double-take the first time I cleaned Mrs b_u's 1.2 (not something I do regularly!) and noticed the incorrect details on the sticker.
