It depends if they have been sold mate :) I could see a fair few of them sitting in a field somewhere......
BTW, no-one told me they are made in POLAND! OMG, what am I thinking wanting one of these cars  It's the same as buying an FSO Polonez!

P.S. I was only pulling your leg in the "what colour should my Panda be" thread :) No hard feelings (y)

The panda took over the production line of the sei, as the sei was made in poland! There will be nothing wrong with the ''workmanship'', just they will be paid pretty poorly cxompared to the UK

Polish Fiats are made better than Italian ones Specs!

How does that work out? I would have thought the Italians would have taken pride in the cars more than the poles....It's a odd world :)

Why would they? It's a job all the same, and as most of it roboticised (my new word ;)) and PL has some fantastic computer programmers I can't see the problem. Please don't be 'racist' towards Poles....

The minimum wage in PL works out at about 60p an hour and people are more than willing to work for that and work as well as anywhere else. Cost of living is so much lower that it's equivilent to living in Italy and being paid a comparable wage...no "I get paid **** so i will work ****". However, you should have seen the face on my distant cousin's face and my distant uncle's face when I said I worked through the summer in a horrible job that didn't require any qualifications at £5/hour.....the job she was doing required a degree and left her with with approximately that per day.

which dovetails nicely into the topic of world migration, people move to where the work is, and generally because the people already there don't want to do what they regard as "menial" jobs..

postwar the uk, the centre of most commerce "imported" a workforce from the commonwealth to help kickstart and rebuild a shattered economy

all those wonderful building and projects in the middle east, dubai etc? built on the backs of a south east asian workforce numbering hundreds of thousands, paid a pittance, no rights, no health and safety no security, all because the locals see labouring as beneath them, but no so far that they cant kick a man out of the country when after working 14 hours in the hot sun just coz he walks into the wrong shop to buy a bottle of water....

as for fiat in poland, it's worked so far, and good luck to them, they are getting it done, but the day will come, when the benefit of outsourcing further east, ie china will outweigh any attachment to europe, when you're working on wafer thin margins and fighting for your business independence you'll take the cheapest option everytime

I wasn't being "racist" towards anyone. All I ment was, I thought the Italians don't like to be beaten at much (see football etc) So why would they let someone else build their cars better than them. It was just a point of view mate.

I don't think:

BTW, no-one told me they are made in POLAND! OMG, what am I thinking wanting one of these cars

Sounds particularly nice.

Nobody is being racist and that is obvious. Don't jump to conclusions that's how arguments start (;))
think the italians had to much vino when they put my mk2punto together
I think this is probably true - especially the wiring which seems to only correspond to the colours on the diagram as and when they feel like it!

When all is said and done Fiat have had a bad reliability reputation and nobody can deny that. So it's no bad thing when they make the cars elsewhere I would have thought :D
