Mine locking wheelnut key is in a little plastic case that came with supplied with the car [also containing the 4 wheelnuts that were replaced]. I keep mine in the glovebox.

Normally in the glove box or in the spare wheel well from experience.

I carry mine in my handbag in a knutcase - Lol. Not that many would be looking to steal a set of 13 inch alloys...

In my experience, usually the last place you need them to be - puncture when about 300 miles from home, heavy rainfall, strong winds and late at night. In the bottom drawer of the first unit in the kitchen. Did you look there?
