hi guys, i have just bought an 07 panda diesel, and wanted to know if the rear suspension is normal to feel/sound 'knocky'?, apart from that i'm pleased with it!

Could be one of the shock bushes has disintergrated.

We had one knocking when we pick ours up from the dealer with 14K on it.
We had normal "bump" then a "knock" straight after going over those traffic calming things.

are you sure it's the rear suspension ?

If you have lowered your rear seats they might not have been locked back properly, it's worth checking.

I should have wrote,
To check them, open the boot and get someone to bounce the back end up and down while you watch the top and bottom of each shock.

If one's knackered, you'll see the loop around the bush move more in relation to the bolt holding in the middle.

My car has now done just under 2100 miles, (2081 to be exact!) and would have spent 500 of them going over humps. If the bushes go would they be covered under the three year warranty?

Even with the harsh treatment I would expect them to last 10k.

Most likely under the two year warranty. Not sure about under the third year of warranty.
