General Lack of a locking fuel cap...

I got my 56 reg Panda at the beginning of March and was supprised that the fuel cap was not locking. Searched the internet and found one for £11.22 from a company called "incarshop" It is a model no: plc64. If anyone wants the link to the page just let me know.

I love the little key that comes with the locking fuel cap, and would like a blank so I can cut it to suit the door locks.
I know the car won't start, but when my son and I go running we could each take a small key with us ( keeping the main key locked somewhere hidden in the car).
I've tried eBay etc, with no luck. Getting the key blank cut is easy, and somewhere ( where they make the petrol caps?) there must be thousands of em.
I'm willing to buy a large batch if anybody knows a supplier.

Insisted on one when I bought the car at their expense just common sense really too many people tempted if its unlocked for amusement or thievery never frozen up to now. Still going strong 97k.;)

Trading my series two panda dynamic Ecos in for two new shape Pandas next week so I may have two OEM locking fuel caps with two keys each available (never used) along with two sets of Panda mats in VGC :)

So thank you for your replies. I have decided that I do want a locking cap. But there are so many to choose from!

Please can you Panda experts drop me a link to one that will actually fit my December 2012 1.2 Panda Easy.

I would be so grateful, thank you :):)

An 'Easy' is one of the 2012+ Pandas - might be best to check on that part of the forum as someone there is bound to know the answer

Anyone who recoded the fuel cap lock to match the car locks?

more than likely you can swap barrel over for the passenger airbag switch.

most locking petrol caps you can open just by squeezing the edge inwards. There normally a waste of time. I haven tried the Panda one though

I haven't tried but most cars now have an anti syphon built into the filler pipe
