Just seen the Euro 5 Panda on the Fiat configurator. It's another £600, but it looks like they've made a few changes. You now get the following with the Dynamic (as well as a few other things):
  • Fogs
  • Alloy wheels
  • Fix & Go Puncture Repaire kit - no spare wheel?
  • 'Specific Gearbox'
  • Partial Cellophane Wrap

Any ideas what the 'specific gearbox' is or what the partial cellophane wrap is?

Doesn't look like you get anything useful then.

I agree (although the 'specific gearbox' maybe useful, but I haven't got a clue what it is). Sadly, alloys a fogs will be popular with people though.

What is exciting is the fact that it gets a much better engine. I can't find any specs, but if it's the one from the 500 then it should be faster, more economical and much better to drive.

The price does look expensive though. The Dynamic is over £9000, and you can get a top spec i10 (air-con, heated seats) for that money. I think the Panda is a better car in some ways, but it could be hard to sell without big discounts.

You're very lucky because here in Portugal the euro 5 panda is also 600euros more expensive but it comes with the 13 standard wheels. At least the AC is for free... I don't believe that the 69hp engine will be a lot better than mine 60hp but who knows!

For that money skip the heated seats and get an i20 which is a much better prospect.

Expect big discounts on the Panda though. Especially with a £0 road tax i10 due next year.

With the Panda expect £1500 of list across the entire range. So an Active would be £6500 but it is a damn shame the cig lighter has gone.

It's the £11795 price theyre asking for the Euro 5 Diesel that shocked me, up from £10395 of the Euro 4. I can't see why they've put the price up so much, when the petrol Dynamic (presumably with the same equipment) has only increased by a few hundred.

The DPF in the Euro 5 diesel can't be that expensive, they don't even work properly - just look at the 500 forums ;)

But as others have said expect massive discounts :).

The cellophane is just the stuff thats stuck on the panels when its delivered. I agree that the Panda is a fantastic car but as others said its an old design now. I think the new wheel trims on the Active are totally hideous. And now that the 100HP is gone the options now include parts that were once exclusively fitted to it. Dark tinted windows, subwoofer and leather steering wheel although some may have been fitted to the previous eleganza. The electroclash grey paint is still on the options too. Thats a shame as I prefered it when it was exclusive to the 100HP until it was added to the rest of the range at the end of 2009.
