Is is the same as the Lada. Highly amusing link, will read it later. I am of course concerned about power handling of boxes and amount of fabrication, but there we go.
Well, if you want to keep it cheap:
Throw interior and anything that is superflous
Chop springs
Fit rear ARB
Weld up the diff
Put all the engine stuff in
Sorted!
I like the 131 Maxi, but as you say, people seem to want money for them.
Pretty much what I'm thinking, but LSD seems a must to me. Rear is leaf springs, so I will have to recall some old Landy tricks there. I will need to develop my fabrication skills quite a lot. I don't have welding gear and have only semi-fabricated in the past. Only got normal garage, not a workshop or anything. Work is done on the "drive".
Weird. Because no one is every going to buy one over say, a Giulia Sprint or a Fulvia or a Fulvia Zagato, but people want lots of money for them.
I'd love a 131 as I had one as my first car, but I wouldn't want to spend anywhere near the money that's being asked
I would suggest a 126, but they're expensive for a semi-decent one, fragile too.
Impressive, well the car, but perhaps not so much the driving!
Perhaps the wheelbase makes it very tricky and I'm guessing the engine is rear mounted which wouldn't help either. Nonetheless that car can do things that an ordinary A500 can only dream about!
