General Injection system failure light

Hi. I own a 06 multijet and have been suffering again with loss of power. Today i was driving up quite a steep hill, changed down a gear and the injection system failure light lit up. I pulled over turned off the ignition and then restarted the engine and no light appeared. Is this a serious problem? This is the first time this light has lit when driving.

Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

somewhere here there is a thread on loss of power to same model as yours,my fix was to remove both multi pin connectors on the ecu(the box on the right of your engine)you may have to cut 2 cable ties before you can lift the arms to remove plugs.once off spray with electrical spay you can buy from most car diy places.leave to dry then give it the wd40 treatment put back and all should be well,
