Hi,

I have a panda dualogic.
in the snow it required a new ecu as it failed due to i assume getting wet or damp. .
now the auto box will only work in manual but not in auto. it works perfectly apart from that. any ideas on what is going onor how to fix it?

Did you get a correct ECU?

Do remember that the standard 5speed manual and dualogic uses a completely different ECU. If the problem happened after you changed the ECU then this is the most likely reason.

The other thing is, your Selector lever is going and can no longer get into the Auto mode. Either way, there is only 1 way to do a diagnostic it is to hook it up to the EBD.

I would get hold of a schematic and check the switch inputs as above.

Also the ECUs should be reasonable well sealed, have you taken the car through a flood and know it has all got wet?

Its unlikely there is much wrong, otherwise the car wouldnt drive which seems to be a duologic trait.

there is a yellow warning triangle on the dash but no gearbox warning, apparently there are no fault codes stored but it has not been to a fiat main dealer, the garage thinks it is a bad earth or similar but i cant afford to let them spend 3 days trying to find it.
everything works 100% except full auto mode.

do the ecu's need to learn the clutch and the car systems when the ecu's are changed?
