Panda front suspension

Might seem like a silly question but the top mounts of the front suspension legs move backwards and forwards under the bonnet when the steering is turned left to right .Is the normal ?? cheers Mick

Noticed this on the 100HP - looks very odd at first.

Re: Panda front suspension

I may be wrong, but I think this is to provide constant camber while turning. It is normal.

It's more likely castor and that you can see it move due to the holes around which the top mounts sit. Nothing to worry about unless the whole top mount is moving around due to not being secured properly.

Re: Panda front suspension

just wondering how you noticed this - are you driving about with the bonnet up leaning out the window looking at the mounts. If you can give me some tips as I'd like to see this for myself.

Re: Panda front suspension

Turn the steering to full lock and open the bonnet.
It's a bit odd 'till you realise it's supposed to be like that.

Re: Panda front suspension

I'll be having a go at this come the weekend. I've previously looked at the struts and wondered are they in the right position but never dreamt they'd move.
