Technical Reverse Selection

[Most Easterly Pandas]

When selecting reverse, you have to yank the funny little tab up, that is suppost to go back down with force from a spring or something isn't it?

Drove sister Panda last weekend and it seems to just slide up and down with no resistance to return it to the lower possition.

Is this a common problem? Sister said 'oh yeah, its done that for a while now'

Typial I though, talk about letting me know these things so they can be fixed

I would assume that there's a little spring in there that has snapped. You may find it's easy to change, but I've never had a look at it to see how it comes apart. Actually, looking at your list of cars I suspect that you know what you're doing anyway.

My one is fine, but it's not even a year old yet.

Well I'm tempted to leave it as its only a 5 speed box, so reverse selection is unlikly to happen by accident, unlike my 6 speed Stilo (or the 100hp)

I'll see if anyone else says if they've done one before and if its an easy fix first me thinks.

Sister isn't unhappy with it as it is.
