While washing the wee beastie I noticed that my spare wheel well had a small puddle in it. It looks like the water is getting in via the air vent in the back panel below the boot floor/under the bumper. Has anyone else had this?
not had it there, but, the little rubber cover that carries cabling from the car into the tailgate can come loose or dislodged, which also lets water in
The air 'outlet' vent behind the rear bumper is pretty well protected and I doubt water could in in from there, unless you really blast under the bumper area with a hose. Is there anything trapped between the tailgate and its rubber seal (bit of twig or dirt)?
I have a Panda 100HP and have just fixed a boot leak well 2 and it seems to be a fairly common fault ....
Mine was leaking into the spare wheel well from underneath the air vent as the badly designed breather didn't clip into its slots correctly and water was just pouring in, sealed it with silicone and now its a perfect seal!
The other place was through the rubber grommit where the cables come from and again that was around the rubber edges not where the wires come through.. As again silicone around the entire edge has made a perfect seal
