Whats the idea behind this? Rally/Track car?

I take it you're making your own chassis?

Its being built to do sprints, Hillclimbs and perhaps Tarmac events. I would have built a 106, like everyone else, but I thought I'd do something different.

The Shell is stock, seamwelded, with a weld in multipoint cage. All of the suspension parts are modified and the track is 50mm wider than stock.

Looks like you've put a lot of work into that!
What motor you going for?
Did you do the moulds etc yourself? My car is made from fibreglass, light but downside being stress cracks and crazing everywhere!

Yep, I've done all the work myself. Everything!!

I'll be running the bog standard 1.4 16v initially, but will then probably go for an 8 v head, as the 16v is hydraulic, and wont take hairy cams. The Kit Cars were 1.4 8v, putting out 156hp!! I think this car will weigh in at around 700kg.

I expect to see crazing and cracks within a day of running lol.

That does look very smart.Have you thought about getting rid of the rear doors and making it a 2 door? You could then throw a V8 in the middle and have one very fast Panda.

That is looking very impressive Nigel, cant wait to see it finished. (y)

Loving the wide look, that front bumper with the splitter looks superb, wonder how long before somebody asks for one...

What wheels are you using?

And, what colour is the whole car going to be, original white or something different?

Thanks for the compliments Dave.

The car will be white all over, maybe with some graphics, but nothing much. I haven't decided on wheels yet, but I will need to make my mind up soon, I'm not far away now!
