I know that list prices have gone, or are going, up but the Arnold Clark website still offers the basic Panda at £4995 under the scrappage scheme. Is this realistic, and if not what is the general price of a 1.1 on scrappage?

My dealer has sold out displayed for the Active Eco !!
I can only assume that some dealers pre-ordered stock,so you may find you can only get the colour or spec that they have ?

we ordered one and half way through it was mentioned it would be series 2 which has a different grill... no mention of different costs.. no mention of different 1.2 engines or extra colours... not exactly sure what is going on anymore....

Slightly different circumstances to the 1.1, but I ordered a 1.2 Dynamic about 6 August, hadn't made my mind up about ordering a second car but when I rang the dealer to see how the order was progressing he informed me that no more series one were being built so mine would be a series two and cost £250 more...I said, are you absolutely sure no series one were available, at that point even offering to buy two and he said he couldn't do it...

I rang another dealer, but again he was convinced he couldn't get me a series one.

So I'm in the same boat, ordered based on series one looks and colours, now I find out I'm getting a series two, dealer was as much in the dark as me regarding spec...In fairness, I'd have been gutted if I'd bought a series one and had to take the instant depreciation hit of the facelifted model coming out.

on the plus side - at least it has the bigger mirrors, colour coded bits and the all important euro 5 compliant 1.2 engine - torquier, more powerful and I suspect more economical than the existing 1.2 and 1.1 units. (69bhp versus 60bhp and 54bhp respectively)

I got mine on the FIAT employee scrappage so 'only' paying around 5400 for each car in expensive black metallic, still a hell of a lot of money to spend on something that has had a spec change...

This new Euro 5 compliant 1.2 seems to come highly recommended

here is a nice link showing the series two and some info on the engines (wasn't announced when I had to change my order at the dealer):
