Green, 6 months old, 4k on the clock and there's a knocking from the rear wheel arch area now on both sides. Larger the bump bigger the noise! Getting worse with time and distance. Doesn't do it with foot or hand brake (gently applied of course) over same bumps when it does clunk. One English main dealer and one Cypriot (yes I've moved to Cyprus, sun, sun and more sun) dealer has not been able to locate the problem. Having fitted a tow bar and electrics I've had time to inspect the brakes, shockers and other gubbins in the wheel arch area. The only thing that is loose (but deliberately I hope) are the rear calipers. They 'float' and can be moved about within their mount making a small metal on metal clunking sound. Could this be the source? Anyone else with a Panda diesel 4x4 Cross experiencing the same problems?
For the record I've had the solenoid changed and had to lever the front and rear disk protector plates off the disks as the brakes were noisy when at low speeds. Having disconnected the battery to install the tow bar electrics main lights now flicker at tickover. Probably needs reprogramming.
