Is the only places to get these roof bars from a dealer? I rang mine up today and he said they couldnt supply them as an after market accessory, is that right?

They can supply them. Just say that you've already got them and they've been damaged so you need to replace them or try another dealer (y)

Geminifm is selling a set of roofrails in the classifieds. Unfortunately, he lives in Devon and doesn't want to post them, otherwise my Panda would have been adorned by said item by now. A dealer that I know personally has a used Panda for sale which has the rails on it and I am trying to pluck up the courage (cheek) to ask him if he would sell them separately! Price from Fiat seems really over the top at £175. Ah well - keep looking.

I wouldn't have said that £175 is over the top personally. £87.50 each sounds plausable.

Bloody hell - can't you find a Panda with roof bars in a scrap yard and save yourself some money?
 
i have purchased those roof bars from Geminifm at a very reasonable price
Luckerly i know someone is Devon who could pick them up for me (y)
 
For anyone else who's looking for them, try Traynor's dismantlers (http://www.traynors.biz/), they get a lot of Irish cars and in every single non-100HP Panda in Ireland is sold with the roof bars. Should be a fair bit cheaper than nearly 300 notes ex VAT!
 
And if any danes (or possibly swedes, I live in Copenhagen) would like a set of roof bars, drop me a message.

Swing on by and we'll move them from my car to yours, you pay me some cold hard cash and hand over the four plugs for the new-found holes in the roof of my Panda and we're golden :D
