HI,
I have another thread on the 500 forum as I am torn between that and a Panda 100HP.My main concern is the infamous hard ride of the 100hp.
I am concerned if I do a test drive I may not realise how bad it is if I do not encounter poor road conditions to test the suspension.
Just how bad is it in peoples opinion- does it throw you off your seat over speed bumps etc.I have read where people have sold theirs after a few months because they could not stand the hard suspension. Is there any after market devices to correct this- I would need them fitting as I am no mechanic,so cost could be an issue.I would look at the lower models, but the performance seems poor and I have read they lean alot in corners, not that I am a boy racer mind, but I like a car with some performance and decent handling.
Any help appreciated.

Speed bumps are really ok if you take them slowly, you have to slow down a lot more than most cars, but it's ok really. It depends how many of them you have to go over on a daily basis.

I must admit I drove an 07 100hp and was nearly put off by the ride because it was so much harder than i was used to, however as usual i was so set on the idea of a 100hp that it didn't stop me. Now I've had it a few months I've got quite used to it, I do tend to feel a bit sorry of my passengers though.

I think the ride is fine in it tbh. Mind you, I have had the car nearly 3 years so if I hadn't got used to it it would be odd!

The ride is firm but not harsh to the point of pain. A Seat FR is far more uncomfortable.

I have drove the 500 1.4 sport and the 100 HP and I must admit the Panda is by far the more enteraining car. I like the 500 but would have to buy it for the wife and borrow it now and again as I find it a bit effeminate  but that is just my opionion.

But get a test of both and make up your own mind.

Good luck

Paul

Guys - thanks for this post - I had the same questions. Sounds like the 100hp is the car for me....
