Just hope it isn't another excuse for the dealer to try and jack up the price again...:(

I've been scouring the internet for more information...all I've found is the italiaspeed story and the fact the only 1.2 that achieves the 113g/km rating is the 500 1.2 StartStop...

I suppose it's all hush hush until the official launch in November.

It is the ECO model so start/stop is a possibility...i'm sure that feature isn't to everyones taste...would freak me out to have the engine cut out like that...I could get used to the fuel savings though :)

Unless FIAT boffins have some other cleverness they've applied to the engine...?
Well if it's the same CO2 rating I'd think that the engine will be identical then but who knows. Start&Stop cuts the engine and starts it up seemlessly so as a feature I wouldn't be worried about it although some people in the 500 forum have had issues with the system being unavailable.

How is this series two Panda 1.2 going to achieve 113g/km emissions? Will it use the start/stop technology do we think?

I've been comparing specs against the 1.2 500 model, looks like 69bhp / 860 kg will be good for 0-60 in 12.5 seconds and 99mph :)

I doubt the in-gear performance will be a match for the multijet...but of course I bought it for the frugality NOT the performance...this new 1.2 really is a nice surprise  Just hope it is true!

according to the italian fiat site...

specs for 1.2 Fire MPI Euro 5 in Panda

does 0-62mph in 13.2 seconds and a top speed of 100mph, no mention of start&stop just some advanced magneti marelli jiggery pokery
