right its a while off but asking for ops on how useful having the skydome is tbh as im in 2 minds as to whether when i eventually get round to a) having enough ££££ to afford the 100hp b) & whether i should feel the need to splurge the extra and have it?

and does anyone have any pics of it so i can get an idea?

thanks for help in advance....

thank you i think that kinda settles it lol....thing of beauty that...look good on white :D saves me having to polish the roof...

Yes indeed it will look good on white...

And it's great not having to polish the roof. I'm too short to reach the middle anyway... :p

Excuse the crudeness of the photos as I was taking some of them through the window with my phone.

I was unsure before I got mine too. However, I would definitely recommend the skydome. Any time the weather is good and I'm off the motorway, the roof is always open. You will get a lot of use out of it.

As for looking good on white, I would have to agree. I have a white 100hp, and the black roof really tops it off, no pun intended. Have a look at my gallery to get an idea (https://www.fiatforum.com/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=43144&ppuser=52951)

in an overall % term its between this 100hp and the GP T-Jet :( oh so difficult...same tax bracket, 100 quid more insurance for the GP and a little bit more but somehow the panda is still tempting me...

I am 6`4" and fit ok with my skydome, admittedly I have the seat angle back a bit. (like I do for most cars ) But it seems more than comfy for me.

I have to say that looks great in that blue (y)

Seconded, does it slide up and out or in and under? A piccy showing it open would be nice. I have to say Inever even considered one as the name, skydome, made me think it would bulge from the roof but starting to have second thoughts now

I'd be amazed if the sacrifice in head room is an issue, I'm six foot and lower the seat simply so I feel more as if I'm sitting in, as opposed to on, the car and I reckon I could drive around in a top hat if the mood took me :D

(y)cheers

Sorry - generally skim read web forums and don't follow up on links unless I'm feeling really keen

I've had a good look at your pictures and also wee smurfs.
Sunroofs I've had in the past have been fabric (Webasto) which gathered up at the rear or glass which could tilt or slide back into the headlining. Looking at these pictures it seems that the skydome elevates above the roof line and looks for all the world like a perfect aerofoil. Is there a speed above which you think it might come off or where buffeting becomes so much that you want to close it.

I have driven with mine open at 70, although the wind was a bit noisy. I generally close mine over 50, or just tilt it...

I don't think it will fall off...
