Whilst driving home from a weekend away with the girlfriend I noticed on one stretch of road another Panda 100HP traveling in the opposite direction towards us.

As it passed I gave a flash of the lights and an acknowledging finger wave. In return the owner of the other 100HP gave a thumbs up and had a smile on his face.

This gave me the biggest smile ever

At this point the girlfriend was killing herself laughing in the passengers seat call me 'sad' for doing it

Now the Panda 100HP is a pretty unfamiliar sight on the road so its nice to see another one.

If I had another car that was more common then I don't think this would be the case but the fact that you don't see many on the road I think its nice to acknowledge other owners.

So does anyone else do this or is it just me?

ours is just a yellow 1.2 but if we see another of the same colour we wave - usually the other party does too - and we all feel really stupid - but quite happy.

I did pass a 100hp some point last year on the motorway, tried to wave but couldn't see the response (if any). I have yet to pass a 100hp coming the other way.

Maybe next year...

I've seen a number of 100hps in my 1 month of ownership but unfortunately it's never been possible to acknowledge them, soon!!

I would think you'll get joy from 100hp owners. My wife has been most saddened by the grumpiness of most 500 drivers who simply refuse to wave or flash lights or anything!

All seems to be failure for agnoledgement (sp?) in the 500 section. lol

Does anyone have a soft Panda toy on the dashboard. I was thinking of getting one but then we might be thought really sad. Give S-X-I's girlfriend even more to laugh about.

I have a soft Panda toy shoved in the passenger interior door handle in my Blue dynamic. He's my mascot when I'm doing events.

He will be transferred to the cage in my white 100HP when finished.

Never seen another 100 on the road since getting mine but a nice black 4x4 joined the M1 in front of me the other day and did some mutual waving, my gf was just pissed off that they were more interested in my 100 rather than her spanking new GP T-Jet

I've got a proper chinese panda that I bought in Beijing back in 2001. I thought once I got the panda I ought to stick him in there.

That's cool. For some reason it kind of made me think of this

I've seen three of the other 24 (I think) in this country but never in a position where the driver could see me in mine - once I was in my van, once on foot and the first time I was across the road at 90 degrees to them.

Also saw a UK reg one, again in my van!

I have seen a few on the road, each one I see I always flash or put my hand up and rather often get a wave back...
The other week, in the local hotel I work in, I saw a grey 100HP in the car park. At this point I instantly parked next to it, asked around at work and managed to track down the owner, a good chat then took place for quite a while about how fantastic the 100HP is. I told him to join FF, although I don't think he has...
But this again shows how the owners seem to be quite keen enthusiasts as opposed to the drivers of 'normal' cars which are a common sight.

Ive had 1 or 2 waves back at me, it doesnt seem quite as sad when they wave back, but when you get a 'wtf are you waving at' look on their face i feel like a right burk!

i aways do the same as so rare that i see another 100hp i like to give other panda drivers a lil beep as i fly past funny if there old ladies and they beep n wave back lol
