Hi guys,

First proper post!

I'm looking forward to buying a 100 HP in the next 6 months.

So much in fact, that I've joined this place, and have been looking at tons of panda pics.

As I've been looking, I found a picture of a 100HP with exhausts either side. Now, to me it looked rather tasty, so I've found out they are from Novitec.

What I was wondering is, would it invalidate the warranty on a brand new Panda? If it does I'll forget it.

But if it doesn't what do you guys think?

Cheers

Chris

Thanks!

So everything else would be Ok? Well thats brilliant!

I love the look of the Panda and wouldn't want to do anything else to it. I'm just a sucker for 2 pipes!

Since I've got some time before I get mine....Any suggestions from people as where to go, and how much?

At the moment I'm thinking New Orleans blue, with the skydome and the subwoofer.

I definatly recommend the subwoofer, it's good quality for the price, not sure about the skydome... You'll have to ask someone whos got one as i'm too much of a cheap skate :p

Thanks Guys.

I figure, if I'm going to spend all this money on it in the first place...I'd just as well get all the options I want.

Is there a seperate speaker upgrade? Or is the addition of the sub the only thing?

Anyone own a Panda with skydome? I love having a sunroof, so having two sounds amazing!

I think the exhaust is definite now. Looks too good to miss out on!

Panda Options

Thought I'd change the title to compliment us moving on from the original subject.

So so far....

1. I'll get the exhaust(as it doesn't invalidate the warranty).

2. The subwoofer has been confirmed as a must!

3. Skydome - I'm def getting it, but what do others think?

The speaker upgrade includes two additional tweeters by the inside front door handles. It also includes the subwoofer. As a result of the upgrade the other 4 speakers are slightly different in spec compared to a car with a standard setup.

Are you going to modify the rear bumper to accomodate the extra tailpipe?

I can't say I'm a fan of the twin pipe look on the Panda, but each to their own.....

Firstly, the speaker upgrade now sounds(excuse the pun) ever better. £150 well spent.

That is a good point. I have been trying to figure out if it needs modding. If so, I have no idea where to start.

Any suggestions?

:p The trouble is that the bumper has a moulded cut out for the exhaust. I can't see how you could replicate this on the other side. I guess you could just cut a section out, but it wouldn't look the same as the stock exhaust outlet bumper moulding around it, because it has returns on it.

I must admit, not a big fan of the 'wheelbarrow' look, especially so considering a twin exhaust is a bit overkill for a 1.4. Obviously your car to do with as you please etc.

Hm, good points guys, making me think about it.

This is exactly what I needed. Practical thoughts.

I don't want to hack a brand new car up, so if that is what's needed I'll leave it.

I plan on loving the Panda to bits. It will be the first car I religously clean!

So anything that could risk ruining it is out.

Well, i guess once I get it, we shall see how I do! I'll be asking for advice on what to buy and how to clean it then.

I'll have another think about the exhaust. There was something in the back of my mind wondering if the twins would work when it wasnt lowered further etc, but not to worry now.

I think that as much as I like the styling and the whole character of the car, I'd want to do something to make it a bit different and 'mine'.

Any suggestions? Stripes or anything?

What would go well with the New Orleans Blue?

I have a skydome on my 100hp and rear park sensors, car is black.

Mine was second hand, 4200 for 2 years old, with dealer warranty remaining and 26K. Grade A condition.

The skydome is nice, certainly, and I love the fact you can can lift and slide back the roof. Worth the £700 or whatever? I wouldn't add it to a new car if I was purchasing one, not worth it, but it depends how much you want it.

From other comments, the speaker upgrage is worthwhile. Mine doesn't have it, and I find the sound somewhat lacking.

The Panda will (hopefully) be my 4th car. I'm 24.

K-Reg Rover Metro 1.1S - Had a pop out sunroof. Loved it.

P-Reg BMW 316i Compact Sport - Had an electric sunroof. Again, really liked it.

T-Reg Toyota Celica 1.8 ST - No sunroof , always missed it. Even with it having Air Con.

So the skydome is an option I won't be without. It's £500, which in my mind is basically a standard option, dut ot my history.

Are the parking sensors any good?
