After the rain we have been having recently, water has leaked through onto my feet while driving the car. This happened on my '94 polo because of rust issues, and I wouldn't have expected it to happen in a 8 month old panda.

Has anyone else had this problem? Any suggestions of what I can do to solve it? I am due my annual service soon, so will definitely bring it up then.

Thanks.

There have been a few posts here about wet footwells here. May not be doors seals, could be condensate from a blocked a/c drain or leaking heater matrix.

You may well find teh answer here:
https://www.fiatforum.com/panda-new/201194-bulkhead-swimming-pool.html

If the drain tubes that let water out from the bulkhead area (bit under the wipers) are blocked, the water finds its way down into the heater air inlet instead. Open the bonnet, reach over the back of the engine and you'll see two sort black rubber tubes (about 6cm long and 2cm diameter) with flattened ends. Squeeze these or prise the end open with your fingers and all sorts of muck will likely come out! Check regularly, esp during the autumn as leaves quickly block these tubes...

Thanks for the reply and suggestion. I had a look at what was suggested, but it was not that. There was nothing at all blocking the tubes. No water had backed up in the area under the wipers.

Any other possibilities for leaking water? Thanks.

I had a fear that this might be the problem. I had the windscreen replaced soon after I got the car. I definitely need to get this checked at the annual service.

Any other possible suggestions welcome. Thanks for the responses so far.
