Dear All,

My Father picker up a 54 Plate 1 Owner Eleganza - so far so good. The only frustration is that he managed to poke the Air Vents and break two!

Not sure if it was:

a) that he was heavy handed
b) the plastic and design is flimsy
c) a mixture of both.

Anyway what i'm really asking is:

"Does anyone know how to remove the vent?"

I have found a Panda at the Breakers Yard and want to remove all four but have got no idea how to do so.

Spent hours trawling this site and google but are no further forward.
Step by step instructions with pictures would be fantastic and no doubt help other posters?

I'm no thicko but removal seems harder than sudoku?

Please Help!!!

If you look inside the vents you can see clips that goes out and locks the vent in place.
Use a small srewdriver to move the clips to the center off the vents and pull the vent at the sametime, If you start with the one there is broken I'm sure you see what I mean.
 
Yep....Laverda's spot on....It's fairly easy if a little fiddly....(y)

Oh and it's not hard to break them....MrsP broke the passenger one in the 100hp the first time she got in it!

I tend to keep use my thumb to 'help' the bottom part open as I press the little 'dent' with my finger....

I will experiment over the weekend on the broken one before i ruin the one's at the Breakers Yard.

Funny how I broke mine but never got around to removing it. But here's the follow up Q: Once removed, you folks know of any online webbie that sells a replacement?

I too broke mine in my 1st 3 months, but it never bothered me to remove it! It's now into my 3rd year! he he

Sorry for resurrecting this old threat but

I can, in my panda, see the "clips" and I can get a screwdriver into them and kinda flip them upwards but it dosen't feel like releasing the plastic vent.

Can I use too much force on the clips or something? because it's kinda hard and I have no replacements nearby.

(they are up for a colorchange to match the rest of the car)

If any pics/video please link as I cannot find any online.

ha, nevermind. You don't need to use those clips, just use a plastic prybar and pop 'em out :) (ended up going mad and raged, which led to easy solution)
