Took my 100hp in for a knock from the rear, turns out the handbrake cable needed tied down and a new rear off side shock is on order...... bit scary on a 18 month old car, thank god for warranties:(

On the subject of shocks you are not the first and probably wont be the last..:(

Not sure im happy changing just one side... Can you push for a pair?

at the very least they need to look closely at the other one too, no doubt it will show some signs of ill-health...and change out the pair, no point having brand new on one corner and old on the other

Just to update y'all....

They replaced the r/o/s shock and guess what ? It still rattled.

Its been in for another two days and I'm now told that all the rear suspension bushes etc have been lubed up and the noise has gone...

Not looking good for keeping this past its 3 year warranty, shame as its a fun car....

Not just one rattle, had problems with shocks, tracking, rattling boot, badly aligned doors, creaking seat bases and backs, rusty wheel bolts.

Nothing major but just indicates that the car is obviously built to a price, which is good when you buy it and its under warranty but once the warranty is up you either spend alot or get annoyed with its minor faults.

Don't get me wrong its a great (as in fun) car , normally change my car every 2 or 3 years anyway

I kind of get where you are coming from. My climate control had to have actuators replaced at 18 months, and would like to keep car beyond 3 year period. But im not mega confident that it would be trouble free after 3 years, 30k... imagine if the gearbox gave the 3rd gear prob!
