Now the scheme is active checked the Fiat site for their scrappage prices
1.2 Dynamic ECO 5,995.00
1.3 16v MultiJet Dynamic 6,995.00
1.4 16v 100HP 8,395.00
Checking prices at Perrys I came up with 6095 6995 7600
So if you fancy a 100hp take part in the scrappage scheme and pay an extra 795. Only politicians could devise a scheme like this.

Before I even opened my mouth, the salesman said £8500 to buy my panda 100hp. And that was over a year ago. so, I would expect them to offer that plus the governments £1000 nowadays. Without haggling as well!

I really think this Scrappage is a a bit of a con, as dealers were falling over themselves before to sell us cars before now.

Just my two pence worth!

I think the scrappage scheme is brilliant. I had a 10 year old fiat, been broken down on my drive for 5 months, MOT and tax run out at the end of the month, i was just thinking about paying someone to take it away for me. But because of the scrappage i have managed to get a new Panda Active Eco - which to be fair they were selling for £5,995 before the scrappage but even still i have now managed to get it for £4, 995.

I personnaly dont think you can argue at being paid for a car that was knackered, and being able to get a brand new car for £5K.

I agree with lotty, I am driving a 10 year Ford Ka at moment going very rusty, every time its goes in for a MOT there always something wrong with it, by bringing the scrappage scheme out i have also bought a brand new fiat panda active eco 1.1 for £4,995, would not been able to afford a brand new car otherwise. so thumbs up for the scrappage deal, :)

Ist time poster long time lurker.:yum:
The scappege is good for low spec small cars scrapping nakered old cars clinging on to thier MOT's.
As my old Renault is! Getting ma nu Panda Active eco at the end of the month.... 2100 for a 95 rusty Clio with Knackered suspension it a no brainer (y)
