My Eleganza has suddenly developed major electronic problems. The engine management light came on and then the car wouldn't rev above 3,500RPM. It was really slow accelerating and then the ESP/Hill Holder/ABS and Fuel Cut Off Switch all lit up and the car stuck at 2,000RPM and wouldn't move.

The AA came and cleared the fault codes and it was okay for a few hours but then the problems returned. I decided to leave it for a couple of days as the car was booked in at Fiat for diagnostic work, however, everything failed again and it refused to start. The AA came and found 6 fault codes. They cleared them and tried again but more fault codes came up. The patrolman then removed the battery but the faults returned the moment it was reconnected and started - this time the car refused to rev above 1,100RPM. I was towed to Fiat who've had it for two days now and still can't update me (n)

Has anybody else experienced similar problems???

Sammyboy and Mike, please keep us all up to date.
Since my Panda Cross gave me the 4x4 not available message I have become distrustful of these electronic systems.
Fortunately, I've still got my trusty 1.2 4x4 Climbing in the garage, it has few electronic systems. If the Cross continues to give me fault codes then I will get rid and go back to the Climbing.
I would regret doing this as the diesel-engined 4x4 is faster and so much more relaxing to drive. However, I value reliability and simplicity in a car above all else.

Had minor similar aggro on 100HP a few weeks back - look at thread Immobiliser ... immobilising. Problem wasn't found, just cleared itself and - thank goodness - hasn't recurred.
