Couldn't be bothered making tea last night so flew up to local chippy. Not been for ages so it's the first time I've had to reverse out of their car park in the dark (and it was raining)... you can see where this is going!

I was travelling at about 0.5mph checking for cars when I heard delicate "thud" - that's right I reversed into a tree! Had to wait til this morning for daylight so I could check the damage, thankfully a combination of slow speed and the bumper grill meant I got away unscathed :slayer:

lucky!! I reversed into one of those wooden telegraph poles that jumped out from nowhere in the middle of a footpath........ I normally go quite quick in reverse but i was going slow on this occasion so didnt do any damage either.

The one thing I do miss off my stilo is the parking sensors ..beep beep beep beep and beeeeeeeeeeeeeep ..stop.. :worship:

I reversed into a post box in my old punto. D'oh!

Everybody made fun of me for specifying parking sensors to my Panda - i'm so glad I did. Stops incidents like this happening!

I find now I dont have them I dont reverse back far enough and have to check that I'm in far enough into the space..

erm well I reversed in a carpark and reversed straight into a road sign that was all bent, unused, and wrapped in orange tape it really shouldn't have been there!

de ja vu...reversing into a space in a pitch black car park,force 8 gale, pouring with rain.that was the storm a few sats back. what i did,nt notice was the sqaures of stone fixed to the wall that stood proud about 3". crunch, the bumper is not cracked but i have scratched the bumper on my 100 hp.

you must have gone back at a fair old lick to crack that....oh well as me old mukker said...**** happens !

I hit a metal barrier (the same type you get in between motorways) when reversing in a car park, it was too low and i never saw it. I hit it quite hard but funny thing is, no damage at all, not even a scratch. I think my parking was so square and perfect (until i hit the barrier) that when i did hit it, the energy was dispersed evenly as it was a large flat surface against another. Jeez why do i have a forensic explanation for everything, i should be a frickin accident investigator!
