I've had a bit of a search through the forum and not really found any pic's or info from the 100hp crowd.

I'm not keen on the roof rails and attachments, but would like a rear mounted bike rack. Obviously it needs to clear the spoiler and roof aerial, anyone got any recommendations?

this is currently my favourite, but £80 is a lot of cash to find out that it's not a great fit etc, but it does come in a rather fetching blue colour... hmmm

Only problem with a rear mounted rack on a Panda is that with the wheels on, the bike will obscure the lights and indicators....

It was the same with my old Punto and it was a pain in the a$$ taking the wheels off all the time....

You could get a light board I guess?

The problem with the rear rack is that you cant get into the boot for a start and them being technically illegal as the tail gate isn't a specified load bearing structure (where as the roof rack and towbar are) wont come into question unless your bikes fall off and cause an accident..

and if some pilchard rear ends you they wreck your bikes and car in one go...

go for the roof rack something like this (this is on my grande)...

I use the roof mounted racks and they are fab.. Although you need to ensure your bike is relatively clean when you put it up there to stop mud etc coming off and scratching your roof..

Am just waiting for some roof rails for the 100hp..

...unless your bikes fall off and cause an accident..

happened to me on the M6 just after Christmas 2006... Car in front lost two bicycles off the back. Caused £1800 worth of damage to my Fiesta.

Roof mounted bike racks are far better in my opinion. After my accident I just don't trust rear mounted ones.

We've just been away to Suffolk with our bikes, and we only have a rear mounted bike rack....

Glad we didn't take my 100hp, as not only were we constantly worrying that the bikes might fall off the back and of course the bikes obscuring the number plates and lights etc, but once we'd ended our holiday our bmw had a few lovely scratches on the tailgate and the number plate was also scratched (n) BMW charged £10 somthing for a touch up stick, although really it will need a respray to make it look right again :(

Imho, I would go for a roof mounted rack....I will definitely invest in one if we start doing more journeys with the bikes.

My new roof rails have arrived for the 100hp, just waiting for some decent weather and will pop them on. Already got the bars that go between and the cycle carrier. I think the rails are going to look sweet on my white 100!

Are those the longitudinal panda bars, if so how much were they

They're the longitudinal bars.. They should be £200 but I got them for £150 as I know someone who works for FIAT. Am just off to pop them on now..

The Thule roof rails really are the best to go for. I looked at the fiat dealer options, and the rails weren't quick release which means they'd be really poo for fuel economy! Plus the bike rack itself looks a bit fiddly. I'm really happy with the thule set up - it's all solid, plus it all locks up securely. No chance of rotten scoundrels whipping my pride + joy off the roof!

Anyone got any pictures of a 100hp with just the fiat rails on? no cycle carriers etc. Im thinking of getting the rails so i can carry my fishing stuff on the roof. It does fit in the back of the car but i have to tilt the passenger seat forwad and now the weather is bad it is usally quite muddy. I would like to see a pic of one with rails on before i splash out and realise that it looks poo, sorry for hijacking the thread, and no jokes about poles and back doors please!

Like these? First three without, last three with.. I think they look snazzy with the white 100, although I know they wont be to everyones taste.
