Might be interesting if someone can do them tastefully, but taste doesn't often seem to feature in aftermarket lights.

..thinking of those awful Punto ones with the sticky out light elements... (shudders...)

Hang on, all you people against LED tail lights. WHY?

LED light's can look identicle to normal rear lights if done properly

I mean there are load's of car's now on the market with rear LED lights. LED's are the future! What you don't want are those Lexus/silver rear LED unit's like these chav's have on their Saxo's, 206's and Clio's

The LED units fitted to cars as standard usually look good, but I'm against aftermarket units through bitter experience. Aftermarket lights usually look utter, utter cack, styled by blind men and bought by people with single figure IQs.

The thing is though if you can put LEDs in that look just like the standard lights, why bother putting LED's in at all? I mean replacement bulbs aren't expensive are they?

Last longer/are brighter/can be used in different ways or different applications/use less power.

I'd never retro fit them to a car but I reckon they look alright on some of the newer models coming on the market.

One word - SAFETY

They are unlikly to fail and respond about 100 time quicker than a filament bulb, which at 70MPH improves the stopping distance of the car behind you by 3-7 Meters, which is a fair distance!

They're also more visable to those behind in adverse wether conditions

(also use less power, which is a slight boom to saving battery if lights left on, and saving minimal MPG )
