Dear All,

Do you know if steel wheels of smaller diameter are available for the 100hp?

I'm thinking of buying a set and fitting winter tyres, as the areas I drive through are particularly bad for snow, etc.

I'm not sure of the availability of low profile winter tyres nor do I want to buy another set of alloys.

Edit: just noticed Santa's thread : https://www.fiatforum.com/panda-new/125373-my-winter-alloys.html

Ordering the tyres probably isn't a problem, I just need to get some wheels?

Thanks.

Not sure about steels. Personally I'm tempted to buy another set of alloys, although I just want to be sure that 195/50/15 will be OK and not foul the arches etc as unfortunately nobody makes proper tyres in 195/45/15.

d'oh, thanks laverda, it does help if you read the handbook :)

mine says:
alloy rims: 5.5 J x 14 ET 32
tyres: 185/55 R14 80T (M+S)

those aez icon 5 alloys look very nice, a bit like the original (y)

I don't know why the size in my handbook is different to yours..

mine handbook says the same as yours, but most of the aftermarket alloy wheels in 14'' are 6 x 14 where Fiat's original alloy wheels are 5,5 x 14 but the price are much higher and I dont think that extra half inch is a problem.
What make of vintertyres are you going to use?

the AEZ alloy wheels i have bought is 4x98 , so no wobly bolts here and I have choosed ET 30 because they are closer to ET 32 than ET 35
The standard alloys on the 100 HP is ET 32.
I havent decided yet which tyre to order but my choice is between Hankook W440 or Kleber Krisalp HP

Hi Guys,
I'm having trouble locating the exact wheels.
I've had a quote from an alloy wheel specialist; he said PCD 98 is very rare and 14" is very rare. He has quoted for ET 35, PCD 100, 14"x6 wheels with a FIAT fitting kit (wobble bolts?), which he says he guarantees will fit the car perfectly. What do you think?

Shouldn't be any probs doing that, although you won't be able to use your current locking wheel nuts so if that's an issue you'll need to source a "wobbly" set :)

If the wheels come with 58.1mm spigot rings, you're ok there.

100hp alloys are 4x98, 6.5j x15", et35.
Hi HP
have checked the handbook once more and the 100 HP alloy wheels actually have ET 30 and recomend 5,5 x 14 ET 32 for the vintertyres so the AEZ alloys i have bought is spot on exept for the ½ inch in extra with.
Here in Denmark most of the bigger alloy manufactures have the 4 x 98 for Fiat.
On my old Delta I had a set of O.Z. wheels with 4 x 100 and the 'wobly' bolts and they worked fine.

There is no UK requirement to fit winter ttyres, unlike a lot of European countries. Before yuo buy anything in the UK check your insurnace first, as any deviation from factory std UK spec might be deemed out of policy unless declared. UK spec says a certain speed rating, winter tyres will not be the same speed rating. On warmer dry conditions they will handle poorly and increase braking distances. ITs partly why the UK doesn't enforce winter tyres, our winters just aren't consitently cold enough from November to April to warrant a permanent switch to winter tyres.
