Anyone having a bit of trouble with their cigarette lighter in the front on the 100HP? On my car its a bit shoddy and most things I plug into come out quite easily, mobile phone charger, satnav lead, snooper lead. It just doesn't seem a decent fit with anything.

Never had this problem with other cars it always seemed a lot bet fit. Any replaced the socket for a better one? :bang:

Some are curly some straight. If its curly with some tension ir rarely sits in for long.

And sometimes speed bumps undo the car charger when the phone is in the cup holder next to the socket with no tension...

I used to find that most things I plugged into the Panda power outlet either failed to connect reliably or popped out.
Then I bought an extension in Aldi that converts one socket into three. The plug on that stays in place in the Panda's socket and all my devices stay in place in the extension.
Not the original reason for buying it but it solved the problem.

Had the same problem, chargers kept popping out for phones, tv's and sat nav.

Bought a 4 way socket from Halfords and it has a small plug and sits in perfectly.

Only main problem I have, the fuse keeps blowing for some unknown reason, even when nothing is connected to it, when I go to use it, the fuse always seems to be blown, the 20amp one under the bonnet.
:(

Dave, I'd suggest it's shorting out somewhere - take it back to Halfords if you have the receipt.

It's not the Halfords adapter, did it before I got that.

When the service is due, I will mention it, along with the squeaky brakes.

But thinking about it, I'm thinking it could be because I don't put the lighter back in and small foreign objects fall into it and short it out, maybe coins, pens etc?

That could cause it, you only need something small in there to short it out.

By the way, don't mention the brakes and shorting out when you take the car in for the service, tell them well in advance so they can book the extra time and manpower for your car.

My socket doesnt even work, keeps blowing fuses as soon as i put 1 in. (n)got to book car in to see if dealer can sort it. any1 else had same trouble or any suggestions?

As per Dave's problem - shine a torch into the socket and see if you can find anything that may have dropped in. Happened to a friend's car a while back.

yeah i have this problem with my grande punto nothin stays in it. the child watches dvds in the back an it starts the film again very annoying
