The court said the GWPeri minicar is too similar to the Fiat Panda."

Looks to me like Fiat has a case, although the Chinese don't seem to agree.

I'm with fiat on this one.

There are more parts in common on that then there were between the mk1&2 Panda and the Fiat Panda and Seat Marbela (Panda based 90's car).

Did they buy any parts from fiat or just buy a panda dash and copy it exactly? it's just so exact...

Bare-faced cheek of the highest order. The wheels are Fiat, the dash is obviously a direct copy, the tailgate, the rear lights look remarkably similar to those of the Nissan Note also if you look at the small panels beneath the rear lights between the lights and the bumper, then go and look at the rear end of a Note... all I can say is LOL

If you look at the interior though on the GWPeri - it's shut lines (around the glovebox/airbag) are much tighter! Fiat have sued them 14K for trying to sell them over here and they'll be fined 40-50K for every breach of that. Good on Fiat - it really winds me up when the Chinese copy our cars especially as they are usually death traps in a crash

This will get the tongues wagging, us regular Panda's are not alone in being cloned.

They sell a few rebadged Toyota's, and even and Nissan and Kia
