Hi,
when moving the automatic gear lever into reverse gear in hot weather i hear crackling sound coming from the gearbox, i've taken the car in for inspection and was told that because it is a 'dry clutch' system that is why i'm hearing this sound only in hot weather, so far i have had no other problem with my car. Can someone please 'shed some light' on this matter as i do not want to be left with an automatic gearbox problem when the 2 year warranty expires.
Thanks in advance.

I did notice a slight noise on mine yesterday whilst sitting in a car park, later in the evening it didn't do it. I wouldn't be sure if its the clutch as until you push the gas pedal to move off the clutch is deactivated anyway. I presumed the slight noise I heard was simply the gear changing mechanism,
don't most cars have a dry clutch? thought it was mostly motorbikes that have an oil clutch
