The Twingo RS looks pants IMO! (n)

Plus the 5 door layout on the Panda is lots more practical.

I actually quite like the look of the twingo RS. Also it's bound to have a cracking chassis. It is however 3K more expensive and that will mean another year of repayments so its weighing it up from that perspective really.

Arrghhhh... la, la, la... not listening... or trying not to... :(

I too reckon the twingo RS will be an absolute cracking drive. The question is is the panda 100hp enough fun for the 3K saving i'm likely to make with teh difference in purchase price.
Playing the devils advocate here...... there's a 133bhp 1.6l Twingo coming out which can be had for about 11,500 :)

So still £3.5k more than the 100hp can be had for :D

Chris

Of course ;) But it's a bit more powerful, no owners, can probably be had with a discount and will have a longer warranty :) Don't get me wrong I love the 100hp. Just presenting an alternative viewpoint :)

I doubt a brand-new model will be discounted yet.....And I'm pretty sure that Renault have a 3 year warranty (with the 3rd year from the dealer) very similar to Fiat.

Don't know what you mean by 'no owners' as I'm sure Chris meant £3.5K more than a new 100hp?

Just about everything gets discounted at some stage. I doubt Renault will have a waiting list for Twingo Cup's :)

Exactly..... 'at some stage'....Who knows when that will be?

*sigh* A lot of cars are discounted practically from launch day. Some like the 500 still don't get discounted due to high demand. If you're getting a car with more horsies then it will be worth it if that's what you're after.

Your original point was that you could get it discounted so the difference was less than the £3.5K previously mentioned....

It clearly isn't discounted so the £3.5K stands.....

*sigh*

Clearly you eat babies for breakfast so the point stands.

The current Twingo RS is discounted online so I'd put my money on there being good discounts available on the Renaultsport Twingo too.

We're not talking about someone who wants to buy a car today anyway. People have the choice of whether they want to wait for a more expensive car which has more power and by the sounds of things quite possibly handles better.

But anyway I've been sprung. The Rennosport Twingo isn't yet discounted! But Trackdayqueen is a big girl now and can make her own decisions :)

The 100hp is very much equal to the Twingo GT. The Renaulsport version is a different kettle of fish

Yes my comment was based on the £7995 that Fiatsupasaver quote for a brand new 100hp with no options and non-metallic paint.

Which is a good point :) I was just saying that you could get a Twingo Rennosport for 11,550 which is likely to be less with the discount which is likely to be given. Of course they're a different class of car but it's not always best to go for the cheapest. IMHO it was a choice between the GT and 100hp I'd go for the Panda. But if there's more money to be spent go for the Twingo RS.
